Medical Case Studies
In the era of evidence-based practice, we need practice-based evidence. This section is designed to improve the students critical thinking skills by applying their theoretical knowledge in real life situations. The students will be given an opportunity to discuss medical case studies videos and documentaries and present their point of view. The case studies will include, but not limited to, unusual side effects of drugs, probable treatment, drug or vaccine mechanisms, unusual presentations of the disease, genetic mutations leading to drug resistance, variations in disease progression, presentations, diagnoses and/or management of new and emerging diseases, variations between the disease and symptoms, and proposed treatment options for certain diseases.
